Well Brynn turned 4 on May 25th and we had a mini-party because it was my last day of school, the girls last day at the ELC, and Bryson was in Island Park working for the Idaho Fish and Game.
Brynn woke up in the morning and had a few little surprises waiting for her!
Balloons tied down with skittles, flip flops, strawberry milk, and a new water bottle!
Of course there was the birthday phone call from dad before we all left for school!!
Opening presents - I think Abby was as excited as Brynn!
We had a joint "Tangled" Birthday Party for both Brynn and Abby on this past Saturday. It worked out great because that was June 25th which was Abby's 2nd Birthday!! Enjoy a few pictures from the party thanks to our good friend Maryanne! We were so busy with the kids that pictures weren't really happening,.
The Rapunzel "Tangled" Tower
When asked what type of foods she wanted she told me "Forest Foods!" because that's what Rapunzel would eat :) So as we went grocery shopping we made sure to get some of Brynn and Abby's favorite "Forest Foods". We had strawberries, blueberries, grapes, red and green bell peppers, celery with peanut butter, baby pickles, cheeses, meats, crackers, and rosemary bread. And how could anyone forget the cake at a birthday party?! All the cupcakes were decorated with icing and artificial flowers placed on the top!
Bryson and I decorated most of the cupcakes the night before. The day of the party Brynn and Abby helped place flowers on the last dozen! Here's a closer shot of the flowers - sadly I didn't get around to taking any other pictures! These were the only ones left from the party!
At the party we had 4 different activities going at once that the kids could hop to as they as pleased! I must note that all credit for these games goes to Supermom Moments amazing blog! She compiled various ideas and made printables which I'm SO grateful for! It made things much easier on me and the kids loved it!!
I'll try and update this with a close up shot of the banner that I'm in LOVE with and the braid that was on the front door! I never got around to taking the pictures while at the party, but now the party decorations are making a border around the girls room :)
The coloring station...
Everyone created and left with their very own lantern! We used markers and various stickers! Despite Abby's face in these pictures she really was enjoying herself!
The Pascal Party blowers came from the familyfun website and they were such a hit! Sadly they were SO used during the party about half the kids were wet and ripped :( Many made a 2nd one to take home though!
A few more lantern shots...and honestly, what would a blog post be without one of Brynn's forced smiles?! We love this girl - goofy grin and everything!! Although I do look forwards to the day this one passes...
This was a spin on the game pin the tail on the donkey...basically it was Pin the Frying Pan on Flynn Rider! Kids were blindfolded and putting cut out frying pans on the poster! This poster is now on the girls bedroom door as well and they're in love with it!
Present Time! The girls received SOO many wonderful things and they're already enjoying everything - the books, puzzles, bubbles, moon-doh, sticker books, coloring books, little dolls, a matching game, minnie mouse nightgowns, flower clips, and so much more! A HUGE THANK YOU! to everyone who attended, brought something, and made my girls day special!!
Abby's first bike! Sure she's only two..but she'll grow into it! Plus every little girls at the party loved riding her princess bike! It's equipped with flower pedals, streamers, a basket, a baby seat, and a bell! This is totally an "Abby" bike! She truly is girly through and through!
Blowing our the birthday candles!
Each guest at the party left with a bag which had "Rapunzel Paints" with "thank for you coming to my party" taped to it, pop-its (the 4th of July little firework that you throw on and it snaps on the ground), a glow-stick-bracelet, and a bouncy ball.
Our first and only attempt at taking a picture of the birthday girls together! I wish I had done it before the party (chocolate on the clothes, hyper, and juice stained faces) but they were so happy!
The last presents were from either Bryson and I or Grandma and Grandpa Walls!
Abby loved her present so much (Little People's Noah's Ark with animals) that she couldn't look away from it for a picture!
What would a "Tangled" party be without the movie?!
A HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who helped set up, attended, cleaned up, and in any way impact our girls lives! They love all the friends and family that they have!!
Happy 2nd Birthday to Abby! Happy 4th Birthday to Brynn! We love you girls so much and can't believe how quickly our babies have turned into beautiful little girls! We love every minute of it and honestly thank our Father in Heaven for you in our lives! We wouldn't change a thing and are blessed by you! A day doesn't go by that we don't smile and laugh because of you two crazy girls! We love you and glad we were able to celebrate your birthdays together!
