Christmas 2009!
The 1st picture is better of everyone, but I loved the 2nd one because Brynn decided to wear her princess crown at the last minute :) What a great stocking stuffer!
Brynn and her stocking stash! Princess bubble bath, Tinkbell Toothbrush, a princess crown, chocolate, and stickers! Perfect start!
We have Abigail her present to let her play with the paper....
Of course Brynn stepped in to help open it - she couldn't let Abby struggle with it
Brynn and her 2009 Ornmanet (Santa and Rudolph from some of the old movies)
Snow White movie!
Abby got a little V-Tech laptop and really seems to love it. Brynn was not quite as thrilled since this was ABBY'S toy and not hers...luckily Abby is great at sharing right now (rarely by choice)
Brynn stepped in to help Daddy too - couldn't let him slow down the gift unwrapping process!
Brynn LOVES her first computer game. In only 2 uses she is actually really good at using the mouse!!
Abby's getting the hang of her computer too :)
Our morning started before 7am and was over around 7:45. It was great from the second Brynn came running into our room telling us she got treats in her stocking through the rest of the day. We had to wake Abby up for the events but luckily we were all able to take naps by 9 am!
We cooked the breakfast we had prepared and put in the fridge overnight (Sausage Cheese Strata), opened presents, talked more about Christmas and the Baby Jesus and why we have angles/stars on top of our trees.
We spent the next few hours just hanging out as a family and of course playing with our new things :)
Later that afternoon though my cousin and was wonderful enough to take both Brynn and Abs so both Bryson and I could attend the temple. I'm blown away at how large this temple is inside...you'd never guess by looking at it from the outside.
After picking up the girls we headed to a friend of Bryson's from the police academy's house. He had a Christmas party for all the guys (and 3 girls) going through the academy. It was fun but we needed to get the girls home and in bed. Sadly we left the party early and tragically there was a fatal accident on the freeway on our way home. During our 45 minute minute wait to get 2 miles it gave us time to talk and remind ourselves how truly blessed we are.
I'll end with that for this post....I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas and enjoys their holiday with family, friends, and focusing their thoughts towards our loving Savior this wonderful time of the year!
