Preparation!

We are celebrating our own little Christmas Saturday due to Bryson's work schedule and then us traveling during the actual holiday.  So thought we'd get ready for it!

Of course the tree has been decorated for several weeks now and Brynn's favorite part is the miniture nativity set we have beneath the tree.  She totes them around in a bag and arranges them countless times a day.  BUT - did you know that there were DINOSAURS at our Savior's birth?!  Or how about Mogli and the animals from Disney's Jungle Book?  I bet you didn't...I sure didn't!  Brynn set us straight though...she insists they belong together.

Today's been one of the most relaxing (*ahem...lazy*) days we've had for a bit, yet we've accomplished quite a bit believe it or not.

We're lucky enough to have Santa go out of his way to come visit our family this evening!  I think I'm more excited than anyone else in the family...sad but true!  I'm mostly excited to see ho Brynn reacts when she wakes us up tomorrow morning to find Santa DID come visit!

Abs was so patient as we spent way too long in the kitchen today!  Thanks for the bumbo Cami!
It's wonderful!

Today is our prepartion for a fairly busy day tomorrow.  We made a mini xmas dinner - roasted chicken (which turned out AMAZING if I might say so!), potatoes, and of course yummy rolls :)    Mix in with that the holiday baking - one of my favorite parts!  I swear we only go over our grocery budget this time of the year because of all the butter, sugar, chocolate, cranberries and other delicious things needed to bake!  We also made breakfast for tomorrow to sit in the fridge overnight.  Then of course we went to the park on this beautiful day!  Wrapped the last few minutes, sit back and enjoy!

Brynn helped by eating snacks and notifying me when I dropped food  on the floor or managed to "poof" flour anywhere except the bowl :)

How fun! You should share some recipes. The pictures of the girls are super cute!

I love the nativity! You can totally see how her mind is associating similar size objects and insisting they go together! Merry Christmas!
