Monthly Update

As the end of the month is quickly approaching, I'm here to update on our not so exciting lives :)

I'm now 17 weeks pregnant and we are thrilled!

Bad picture taken at 16 weeks - bigger than I was at 19 with Brynn! Can't button any of my pants anymore!

Pros:

  • Only throw up once a week at this point!
  • Gaining healthy weight
  • Not tired anymore
  • Love food
  • Not sensitive to smells this time around! Bryson gets to eat red meat and sugar that means :)
  • My body already knows what to do - I'm showing and much bigger than before at this point!
  • Still love water, dairy, V8, and food in general
  • Not liking chocolate (when I eat it, it doesn't taste as good as I hoped/expected)

Cons:

  • Gaining weight/Showing already - no hiding it now!
  • Don't like chocolate
  • Sick to my stomach if I stay up too late or get up too early
  • We don't have a bathtub to soak in
  • Bad round ligament pains that have lasted hours at a time

Really doing quite well this time around! Not near as sick as I was with Brynn - I'm enjoying being pregnant!

Now our little Brynn has a strange obsession with hats, mittens, and boots. She LOVES her hats! She has 4-6 different ones and she will put them on and change them out continually. She wears them in the house, outside, and in the car. She'll even sleep with them if we let her!
Our little snow bunny!
Can't locate the mittens - we'll use socks!!
I was motivated to make a key-lime cheesecake the other evening and Brynn was sure to join me within seconds of realizing what I was doing. She was so "helpful" as she mixed and repeatedely informed me that I needed a "spoon, spoon, spoon" each time we put another ingredient in the bowl.

But I leave for 30 seconds to grab something and she is caught with both hands entirely in the cheesecake mixture! But it's okay, because she shared :)

Upon returning from working out the other evening I found Bryson and Brynn snuggling on the couch while Brother Bear was playing. Very cute considering they sometimes only see each other for a few minutes each night and by that point Brynn is beyond tired and doesn't want anything to do with anyone.

Only a true Colorado father would read his Cabela's hunting magazine with his 20 month old daugther. She can now say, point to, and make the different animal sounds of an elk, deer, moose, turkey, and wolf in addition to her farm animals.

Brynn finally got a snow suit that fits her and she actually likes it! We leave it at the center becaus they play outside each day after lunch. With the giant puffy pink suit, snow boots, and of course mittens and a hat she is good to stomp around in the snow for a good 10-15 minutes

Final note - as I was writing this I noticed Brynn was being extremely quiet. I went into her bedroom and she had opened all 6 drawers on her dresser and was in the process of putting "away" her clothes.
Downside - all the clothes she was shoving into the drawers were from her dirty clothes hamper! Too bad my camera card was in the computer at the moment!

When I was pregnant with Rosalee chocolate was the grossest food you could have fed me. But it keeps you from gaining too much! :D

I think it must be a wildlife/natural resources guy thing because Rosalee can see a picture of a wild turkey and will start gobbling at it.

Congradulations! That's so exciting. I'm so glad that I found your blog so we can keep in touch. Brynn is so big, she is a doll and I can't believe how long her hair is. We miss you guys and hope all is going well for you. Oh I loved the picture of bryson reading the cabela magazine to Brynn (classic bryson), at least it had a few animals and wasn't Auto Trader.
